.... Such deodorants pose a threat, especially to women, in that the toxins that are naturally evacuated in perspiration may well settle in the nearest parts of the body, particularly where circulation is poor, viz. the breasts

Of course there are deodorants on the market that dont contain the chemical suppressants of the more popular brands but it is really necessary, for women in particular, to check the product labels to be assured this is the case.

Be particularly careful to scrutinize those products that guarantee full protection from perspiration as these will usually contain the offending chemicals. .

Remember that underarm perspiration is Natures way of exuding toxins from the upper body and when the process is suppressed it is pretty obvious that there is going to be an adverse reaction.

yoga Class Etiquette - 10 Things You Should Know

...I remember how intimidated I felt the first time a friend of mine invited me to take a yoga class with her. It was all so mysterious to me. I was sure I would look foolish trying to twist myself into a variety of shapes and configurations. My ego and I imagined all sorts of ridiculous scenarios. Being a rather shy personality type, I was worried I would commit a horrible faux pas and stick out like a sore thumb or offend someone. I had no idea of what to expect, what was expected of me, or what the proper etiquette was for taking a yoga class. I became a certified yoga instructor and opened my own studio, Lights of Yoga, in 2000.

Asanas should be "steady but comfortable, firm but relaxed, according to the teachings of classical yoga. A first step is to learn rhythmical yoga breathing (pranayama) and to maintain this rhythmical breathing throughout a posture.

For this reason - that is maintaining good breath - one of the first postures that is taught is savasana, or "the corpse" pose. Savasana is a supine asana. Lying on the back, one lets the arms and legs fall naturally at about a 45-degree angle from the body. Starting with the toes and moving upward through the body, one concentrates on each body part, feeling the rhythm of the blood moving through that part. The effect is to produce alert relaxation and regular deep breathing.

Asanas include standing exercises, sitting exercises, exercises which start from a position lying on one's back, exercises which start from a position lying on one's stomach and twisting exercises. Each position is held for a few moments. Early on in the practice of yoga, there may be a tendency to become so relaxed that one falls asleep. The proper state, however, is one of relaxed alertness. While doing the exercise, one should check that breath remains rhythmical throughout - and also that muscles which are not the current focus of the stre...more
